About Us

 

Katie "Zoe" Ferris started Zoe's Ice Barn in Lagrangeville, NY in 2016. Zoe's Ice Cream Barn is dedicated to supporting local farmers and has partnered with Hudson Valley Fresh to ensure the highest quality, locally-sourced Ice Cream.

Katie trained at the Culinary Institute of America and has had a life long affiliation with farming. Her father Bob Ferris is a fourth generation farmer and his heirs have been dairy farmers in Dutchess County since the 1800s.

Katie’s desire to support local farms comes from growing up on her own family farm and over 15 years of raising lambs as an active 4-H member in Dutchess County. Katie has continued to stay involved in Dutchess County Agriculture as well as raising beef cattle and lamb for her family’s freezer with her husband and two son’s.

We are excited to now offer our delicious Ice-Cream to anyone across the country! We ship all our Ice Cream from our restaurant in Dutchess County, and utilize specialty packaging to ensure it arrives to your doorstep frozen.
